For this recipe, we combine healthy sweet potatoes and bananas to make a flavorful GERD diet friendly custard-style dish. We kept the recipe lower in fat and cholesterol by using evaporated skim milk, and you can lighten it up even more by replacing the eggs yolks with your choice of egg substitute. It is flavored with cinnamon, a heartburn friendly spice, and nicely sweetened with some delicious raisins and brown sugar! This is a great side dish for holidays and dinner parties. It also pairs perfectly with just about anything, so give it a try!
